Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage InsideEdge uses, by name. There are not many: we store what is needed to keep you signed in and to remember how you like the app set up, and nothing that follows you around the web.

Clerk may set a small number of additional cookies for sign-in security and bot protection; they are all strictly necessary for authentication and are described in Clerk's own documentation.
Card payments happen on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. Any cookies Stripe sets there are set on Stripe's domain, under Stripe's policy, not ours.
Browser storage
These are stored by your browser on your device and are never sent to our servers as cookies. Clearing your site data removes them.

Error monitoring
We use Sentry to find and fix errors. Error reports store nothing in your browser. If you accept analytics cookies, Sentry also keeps a replay of the page when an error happens, with text and form inputs masked, and stores a session ID in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. If you reject, there is no replay and nothing is stored.
We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service working for error reports. You can object to it at support@insideedge.io, and it is covered in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
Product analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to see which pages and features get used, so we know what to fix and build. It runs through our own domain and does not follow you to other sites.
Before you choose, and if you reject, nothing is stored in your browser. We still count page views and clicks, and record errors when a page breaks, grouped by a code PostHog works out on its own servers from your IP address and browser type. The code changes every day, so visits on different days cannot be joined up, and the IP address is not kept.
If you accept, PostHog stores the cookie and browser storage listed above. When you are signed in, we link your visits to your account (by an ID, never your name or email) and may record your session to see where the app gets in the way; everything you type is masked. Signed-out visits are never recorded.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we treat that as a reject and do not ask. Change your choice here at any time:
Analytics is not running in this browser.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies and no marketing pixels.
- No cross-site or third-party tracking.
- No analytics beyond PostHog above: no Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics or Speed Insights.
- No selling or sharing of any of this with data brokers.
Which ones need your consent
Your sign-in session (Clerk), payments on Stripe's checkout, your consent choice and the preferences you set yourself are strictly necessary or hold choices you made, so they do not need consent. Only the analytics cookie and storage marked optional above wait for your Accept, which is why we show a banner until you choose.
Controlling cookies & storage
You can block or delete cookies and clear site data in your browser settings, and you can change your currency, view density and theme in Settings at any time. Blocking the sign-in cookies will stop accounts from working; clearing site data will reset your preferences and, if you are signed out, your local watchlist.
